Experience Wassily Kandinsky's 'Picture with a Circle' (1911) – A Masterpiece of Abstract Expression
Wassily Kandinsky's Picture with a Circle (1911) stands as a seminal work in the genesis of abstract art. Created during his prolific Munich period, this painting exemplifies his groundbreaking exploration of color, form, and spiritual expression. Kandinsky, a pioneer of abstraction, believed that art should transcend material reality to evoke inner emotions and spiritual resonance. In this composition, a dynamic circle a motif he considered the most perfect and universal form anchors a swirling constellation of vibrant hues and gestural lines.
